True Self Love

I’m honored to be featured today on The Wellness Universe with my blog!

“We need to deeply understand and accept ourselves to obtain true Self Love and to experience True Love with others.

How do we do this? One way is to release old pains and resentments from any type of past relationships, while focusing on why you hold the pain. Realize at the time of the relationship, the other person may not have been in a space of being able to express real love, whether a parent, significant other, friend or child. Or perhaps you weren’t in the proper space at that time. Understand both you and the other person may not have been connected deeply with your souls and maybe have not fully experienced true self-love yet. The important lesson is what you have learned from the relationship about yourself and then what actions you take to heal yourself…..”

Support Systems

Slide1

We all need our support systems.

We require physical, mental and emotional support. We require spiritual support. Support for our opinions, beliefs and feelings. Each individual requires support in all the stages of life. As infants we need our head supported, to be fed, changed and clothed. As we grow, we need support as we learn to crawl and then walk. We need classes and training to support our education. When participating in sports or team events our team mates, coaches and audience support us. During daily life, assisting each other at work, or with home chores is support of one another.

Relationships with others and the proper way to interact with different personalities is another way we can support each other. Sharing our own experiences and stories helps in this fashion. Learning acceptance and discernment, awareness and openness are all things we can do to help our selves and others, as we can be supportive without criticism or judgment.

We also need others to help us learn how to cultivate self-worth, self-confidence, self-love and more. We need to help others in all of these areas, while others are also helping us. Sometimes these lessons are easy and at times they are extremely challenging, as we learn more and more about our selves and the way we may be acting or reacting to another person or situation. In these instances working with a Reiki Master, Life Coach or Counselor can be very helpful, and these professionals are providing you the support you need.

We need to truly understand the type of support which may be required for us and of us. At any given time, we may need a teacher, a coach, a friend or a mentor. Maybe we need family to help us understand love of one another regardless of mistakes and problems. Maybe we need friends to offer advice, but perhaps we simply need them to be a sounding board, to listen to us while we talk it out and figure it out by our selves. Perhaps we need an intuitive guide, showing empathy and helping us to determine how to heal, release and grow.

It is important to discern what type of support we need, and what others need. Sometimes the support type is very clear, and sometimes we need to ask how we can help someone. We need to comprehend our way of needing support may not necessarily be someone else’s way, therefore, a simple question allows us to supply what is needed. Understanding of each other and our own and others’ needs provides us a better way to be kind and compassionate with unconditional Love. It allows us to step back and simply be the support system without being upset someone may not be following our guidance because it may not resonate with them at that time. It may later, and it may not, but we need to detach from the circumstance, and remember, we are all walking very different paths on our unique journeys. In those instances where the type of support is not readily apparent, and sometimes even if it is, a simple “how can I support you?” may be the key to offering and being the type of support truly needed at that time.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing both people in my life who have not known how to support me, and those who do know or simply asked “What can I do for you?” Some who have listened, some who have offered advice, yet through it all continued to show their support and love. I’ve had others who have become frustrated with me and seemingly abandoned me. I have had those who judge my decisions and those who accept them. I have had those who have jeered me and those who have cheered me.  In the end, I’ve learned something from each person, instance and treatment.  I’ve been able to still work through my issues, with the support of those around me who stuck with me.  And, being that type of person is the kind of support we all would like and need, regardless if we are able to help the other person “fix” the issue, or not, whether or not we offer or give advice which is taken or not at the time. We need to realize offering support that the other person needs is not about us, it is about them and what they need.  We are simply meant to be here to support others in any way they need with Love. And, in return, we will find others learn from us and become the support we need, whether they leave our lives, stay or return in some fashion. Support is all about learning and growth for everyone involved.

I’d be honored to support you in any way you may require.  Contact me at heatherclang@yahoo.com for a consultation or to book an appointment.

Understanding through listening

I’m honored to have this original blog featured on The Wellness Universe today!

“We all have a desire to be understood. As you move through your day, do you listen more than you speak? Do you try to understand others or try to be understood? Do you ask questions or wait for others to ask you questions? Communication is key in understanding, and communication encompasses paying attention with all of your senses. It includes focusing on the other more than yourself or on your next reply. It entails not guessing what someone might be attempting to express, rather it is allowing the other to finish their thoughts.”

Spiral of Life

The spiral of life circles us around to what we need.Slide1
We are here for our soul mission, to live as a human being, doing what we need to do to allow our soul to wholly evolve. Within life, to fully thrive, we must live and follow our soul mission & purpose through our passions, along with learning our soul lessons. Like the spiral, which all of life follows, our life spins and circles outward creating layers. These layers are either creating more resistance and stress or they are creating a deeper level of meaning in each lesson.

If we are not learning our lessons or living our soul mission, resistance and stress can build with each pass, as our life spirals outward. The lesson becomes more and more important, which causes increased stress on our being & soul.  This increased stress can turn into life imbalances, dis-ease, injuries and other physical manifestations.  Any physical manifestation can help us understand the lesson we need to learn, as meaning exists in all of life when we take the time to listen, hear and act upon the messages’ meanings for ourselves. Spirit will nudge us the first time to get in alignment with our soul lesson, and if not learned, we will get a push, then a shove and so on.  These lessons can continue for multiple lifetimes, and in one of them, we may have a physical issue we were born with, stemming from past lessons not learned.

For instance with me, my spine is slightly mis-aligned, bringing in neck & shoulder discomfort, hip discomfort, as well as, discomfort between my shoulder blades.  Chiropractic definitely helps, and it has for over 20 years.  When I first was made very aware of the lesson I needed, I woke up to my neck feeling as if it cracked when I tried to get out of bed and it caused great pain.  This led me to my first chiropractor.  Many adjustments later, I do feel better and use yoga, massage and Reiki to help myself with the physical issues.  However, working with yoga, Reiki and Akashic Records, I have been able to determine the root cause of the issue.  I kept spiraling around the lesson, not learning it in my former lives. One lesson is about speaking my truth with my spiritual gifts, and have learned to understand I will not be persecuted in this lifetime for these gifts, the way I had been in former lives.  This message comes from the neck, or throat charka. The hips are about creativity, feminine power and passions and using these inherent gifts for my soul mission in helping others. Therefore, I now use my creativity to deliver my truths in a much more balanced way with both feminine and masculine energies. In-between the shoulder blades is where the heart chakra resides, which is all about Love of self and of others and for me, it was all about expressing my emotions, versus burying them.  I buried them to “be polite” and “please others”, but this was not loving myself by not being kind to myself.  Expressing emotions can be done compassionately and lovingly, again part of the throat chakra lesson. I continue to work on all of these lessons, as they now deepen with other situations as they are presented to me.

Making the effort to learn the lessons as our life circles outward, provides us the opportunity with each pass to create a deeper meaning or more profound lesson.  This allows more lessons & healing to enter, creating further transformation & awakening, advancing our soul’s evolution in this lifetime.  The lesson may come up again, telling us to go deeper and find another hidden message, a deeper truth or to strengthen the one we’ve been working on and learning. While I learned the lessons of my spinal mis-alignments, I have found deeper and more profound meanings and messages which present other aspects of these lessons with many other people in my life. Each spiral brings me another opportunity to more fully evolve into a well-balanced soul during this particular lifetime and can do the same for all of us.

If you would like individual guidance during your life spiral, I would be honored to help you.

Healing and Emotional Reactions

Emotional reactions provide a starting point where healing can begin.

Slide1

Our emotional reactions are a key area to investigate to start the healing process. Oftentimes, when we have powerful emotional reactions to someone or something, it can be linked back to some type of trauma we experienced or an issue within us which we need to understand, release and heal. Emotional reactions can take the form of being defensive which can also lead us into knowing what we need to heal within ourselves.

For instance, if we become upset if someone isn’t listening to us, it may be that we don’t feel as if anyone has ever listened to us, or that we don’t appear to be important to them. However, we can examine ourselves as to why we are having this reaction. This allows us to start determining the root cause of our own issue. We may ask ourselves “Have we done this to others, so we feel guilty?” Or perhaps we grew up with others telling us we didn’t know what we were talking about, so we didn’t feel important, and perhaps still feel that way. Or something else entirely. I know I was told growing up by certain people, I didn’t know what I was talking about. I know now, what I said was due to my intuitive abilities picking up on how others felt and speaking it. They weren’t ready to reveal it to me, let alone, reveal it to themselves and thus told me I didn’t know anything. When I realized this later in life, it truly explained quite a bit to me about myself and my intuition. When we recognize the issue, we can then work through it, going within to fully understand and release it. This is where healing begins. Healing continues as we run into similar situations and recognize our emotional reactions as our own issues more quickly to then release the emotion and keep healing.

Another emotional learning experience for me was that I would become upset when others didn’t show up at the designated time, or I would end up waiting on someone for some reason.  It was always very irritating to me and at times I would become defensive if someone else pointed it out to me.  I finally realized it was because I didn’t feel others were respecting my feelings and my time. I was always being overly flexible for others, who weren’t being that way for me. Or at least it didn’t appear to be that way, as what we see and perceive can be two totally different things.  Our perceptions of our lives within our experiences become our beliefs which create our reality (see my blog “Beliefs Create Reality” for more information). My experience was most people were late.  My perception was because they didn’t respect my time and feelings, which created my reality that I was always flexible with others and they weren’t with me. When I started to really dig deep into why I felt this way, I realized I wasn’t being flexible enough with myself.  My issue was that I needed to learn how to be more flexible with my own time and feelings. I needed to spend more time doing things and helping myself. I actually love helping and guiding others in any way I can yet, I finally accepted that I needed to help and guide myself more, and thus released the perception I carried, and healed from past hurts that others weren’t respecting my time and feelings.  This actually helps me be able to help & guide others more meaningfully and in proper timing. This was a layer, and other layers in different forms have also appeared, allowing me to learn more about myself, release more old issues and heal.

When we react defensively, someone is hitting a wound within us, creating an emotional reaction. It is drawing something to our attention which we do not like about ourselves. Sometimes we react defensively when we feel we aren’t being taken seriously or maybe we aren’t being appreciated because we think our feelings aren’t being considered.  Before acting defensively, we can take the time to think about it, since we do not have to react immediately or at all.  We can consider what the other person is saying and take the time to learn from it.  We can even ask the other person questions such as why they said it or did what they did.  This can provide us additional information into our own issues, as well as, into the other person’s life.  The other person may be projecting onto us, being defensive towards us or even blaming us for something which is their own internal issue to heal. Similar energies attract similar energies, therefore, at times and if willing, both parties can learn, heal & grow from emotional reactions.

If you would like guidance in helping to heal yourself, I would love to help you.  Reiki Energy sessions are a wonderful way to uncover, understand, accept, release and heal.  One on one sessions can be very meditative, helpful and healing, whether face to face or via distant healing.  Contact me if you would like more information.

Namaste!

Spiritual Center

Slide1All paths lead back to your spiritual center,
reminding you to break free from your own restrictions
into growth and transformation.

Our higher selves are guiding us along our paths, nudging us to find and connect with our spiritual centers. Within our spiritual centers we are able to work though issues to help heal ourselves. Once we resolve, understand, accept and heal from any issues which crop up along our paths, it frees us from barriers we have either knowingly or unknowingly created around ourselves. Removing these restrictions brings personal growth and transformation, and ultimately freedom.

You have the power and freedom of choice, so your physical path may and can change, yet your spiritual one towards healing and growth will be the same lessons you are meant to learn.  Others may bring you the lessons you need for your soul growth and transformation, if you are open and willing to change whether you modify your physical path or not.  Or perhaps making that change was part of your journey towards a life lesson.  Spirit will keep providing us opportunities for what we contracted to learn before manifesting in human form in this lifetime. The lessons will  start as a nudge, and if we don’t learn, the lessons are a push, and if we are still choosing not to learn, we can experience a forceful shove, sometimes over the cliff.  Some may call this forceful shove hitting rock bottom.

In my life, I have recognized many lessons, sometimes after the big shove. Great growth is available to us from our deepest pains, and sometimes it’s the only way we can learn as we are not focusing on ourselves.  One of the lessons I learned from the big shove was relationships and trust, but most importantly, loving myself enough to not choose someone who was unavailable in some fashion.  Many of my relationships were with boys and men who were not on a healing path and it caused me heartbreak. I kept repeating this pattern until I had the huge Aha moment.  Now I have a lovely, open and compassionate man in my life and I’m eternally grateful for the choices I made, even though I worked through nudges to the big shove.  It was well worth it, yet, now I find myself more open to understanding when the lessons are coming and can act on the nudges.  My spiritual path is still leading towards breaking me free from any barriers I’ve created for the lessons I’m meant to learn for my highest growth & transformation. And as long as we are alive, more lessons will come.  The more we learn, grow & transform, the more wisdom we gain.  And, the more wisdom we gain, the more harmony, love & peace we have within us, knowing we have the power within us to withstand any challenge.

Look around at those in your life and where you are in your life.  What do these people have in common? How do you feel?  Where might you rather be?  The more we ask questions such as these, the better equipped we are to learn the lessons as they initially present themselves.  It also makes us better prepared for the next lesson, ultimately leading us towards connecting more and more with our higher selves…our spiritual center.

May you continue on your spiritual path to growth & transformation!

Emotional Connection

Slide1

Learning to connect with our emotions and express them allows us to heal ourselves, and thus the world around us.

The very nature of healing tells us we need to connect with how we are feeling and learn to express those emotions in a proper manner. We will have many different experiences on our life journey, and allowing any feelings to surface helps pinpoint the cause of the issue we need to heal. Perhaps an experience will bring up a childhood memory or something from another lifetime.  I remember being “left out” of a circle of friends when I was around 11, which made me both angry and sad, as well as confused.  A number of years ago as an adult, I recognized how upset I would become when I thought I wasn’t being included.  I thought I was being forgotten, and this didn’t sit well with me. I realized it was because the little girl inside me hadn’t properly healed the situation.  Of course, how could she?  She was only 11!  So, as an adult, I felt the feelings, released them and healed from them. Now, when similar situations arise, I don’t become upset.  I understand how sometimes as adults, we have so many balls in the air, that at times, we may not remember all the individuals we have included or not included since our circles expand exponentially. We have increased the number of the people we care about and want to be around or keep informed of our lives and vice versa. We all do our best, and understanding we are all doing our best is key.  My ego has been balanced from that time as a little girl.  My ego wanted to be included, wanted to feel accepted and loved by others.

Through the understanding and releasing process, my soul taught me that I’m the one to include myself, as well as, accept and love myself.  I know when I am indeed meant to be included for my own higher good or perhaps to help others, it will happen. Of course, many lessons of self-acceptance and self-love will appear from other situations which need healing and have occurred.  I now know how to take care of myself at these times, which brings more clarity & wisdom to me, which I can then share with those who wish to use it.

The phase of comprehending where our feelings stem from brings us clarity, allowing us to express the emotion.  It is the emotional connection.  The connection between the emotion and the root cause of that emotion. Expressing the emotion helps us release it. Once released, we heal. As we heal ourselves, we learn more knowledge. As we accept this knowledge, we gain wisdom. This wisdom brings us further into balance between our ego mind and our soul mind. Our energy has become more balanced, thus the healing energy we exude helps others near us, which in turn helps spread the healing energy around the world.

May you find your emotional connection and heal yourself, and thus the world.

Unleash your Power

Slide1I know I’m not the only one who has been mesmerized by the animated film, “Frozen”, nor the only one who has written about it. (For some reason, it hit me that I needed to write about it now, so here it is!)  So many wonderful songs, yet in particular, I adore the song Elsa sings when she escapes into the mountains to set herself free, “Let it go.”  This incredible story has captured so many for many different reasons.  However, the theme is about your inner gifts, talents & power. The “magic” Elsa has was hidden by fears from those around her, and then she adopted the fears, being afraid of hurting anyone.  She needed to be the perfect girl her parents thought she needed to be. When her biggest fears are realized, she escapes and stays hidden, although the timing of the song “Let it go” is perfect.  She is coming into an understanding of herself, yet is still struggling, as we all do, as we accept ourselves and learn our own hidden treasures.  And, yes they are treasures to be revealed, not hidden.  For like, Elsa, when she fully understands what her gifts are meant to do and how to be fully in her gifts, she is transformed!  Love.  Love is the power that is part of all of us which will allow us to reveal our treasures, our gifts, our talents, our power…fully in all their glory.  No fears to be had, for Love is the cure to fear.  Yes, Love.

It’s time to unleash your power. What gifts are you hiding?  Why are you trying to be perfect? What has been programmed into you that is ready to be set free? What fears are hindering your progress?  Why?   Are you ready to “Let it go”?  If not, why?  If yes, what are you waiting for?  You are the only one who can own your power and allow yourself to do what you are truly destined to do with Love.  Love yourself and your gifts.  The gifts you are given were for a purpose in this lifetime.

As I’ve mentioned, I’ve come into my gifts over time, and didn’t think anyone would “listen” to me and my truths.  This is from past lifetimes, versus this one.  A learned behavior my soul carried from lifetime to lifetime.  In this one, I’m meant to unleash my power.  My truths. My gifts. My treasures.  From others, I’ve been told by quite a few my writing is helpful. Therefore, one of my talents is communication through the written word. I heard the messages I was being given.  So, I stopped hiding and started writing. Small notes, long notes and emails, and now this blog site where anyone who stumbles upon it can read my words if they so desire.  I’ve said to many over the past decade “I’m an Open Book”.  True…and another song in this delightful movie is “Love is an Open Door.”  This song has so many levels of meaning, it staggers my mind.  But again, it’s all about Love.  If you do not open your door, Love can’t come in.  Yes, you have inner Love, but by hiding, you will not experience it, as it is through sharing we experience our Love of self.  Gifts we give others, we receive several to many times over.  I share my beliefs, feelings, thoughts and more here and elsewhere, always with Love.  Love gives me the courage, strength, understanding & wisdom to share my inner truths.  These are my shining treasures I now choose to share, not being concerned about what others think.  For, this is my path…that is their path.  Perhaps the paths shall meet, cross or merge for a time or more, but I need to be concerned about my path for my soul’s journey. Those who resonant with me and like my path will find one similar and I’m always willing to help & guide those who wish to be helped.  That is another way I’ve unleashed my power.  I’m meant to help others, to help others heal and to help others unleash their inner truths, gifts and power.  Therefore, I’m not fearful of showing my power. If you want help answering the questions above and unleashing your power with Love, Understanding & Kindness, contact me at heatherclang@yahoo.com, or find me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/NamasteRaysNews.Sunshine and send me a note there. Healing energy and guidance are within your reach.

May you unleash your power!

True Colors

Slide1Do not be a chameleon.  Do not change for others. Do not attempt to blend in. Do not adopt others ways, beliefs or ideas.  This is not the way to have true relationships with others. How can you have a true relationship with another when you do not know your true self? If you continue to adopt others beliefs, it can lead to unhappiness and broken relationships, since people will eventually start to pick up on something not necessarily “right”. The way to a fulfilling happy life with true relationships is to be your true self.

Finding your true colors will bring you happiness & fulfilling relationships.

Discover the true you and be the true you.  Once you find your true self and share it with the whole, you will find you have more true relationships in your life.  I used to be a chameleon, blending in, matching others’ personalities, styles, likes & loves, to be “one” of the group.  I constantly moved within different types of groups, changing my colors to fit in.  Once I realized I was doing this, and started peeling away these layers of “others”, I started finding my true colors.  My style, my loves, my beliefs, my personality.  Once I became more comfortable with the real me, I attracted others who had similar likes, loves and beliefs. I attracted others who were open-minded, as well.  Perhaps not necessarily on the same wavelength on all beliefs, but not judging me for mine and still accepting me.  Just recently I had a conversation with a couple of my yoga students.  Both have had Reiki from me, and both came to me for Reiki because they trusted me from yoga.  One admitted she was hesitant and it still worked for her and I told her it’s because you trusted me from yoga.  She believed in what I said because she came to yoga, listened and practiced and ended up loving yoga. So, in turn, she tried Reiki…she was open-minded to it.  It worked for her and helped her heal an injury quicker than it would have without it. I consider her and all my yoga students true relationships. I have many others, but this is how it works.

When you show your authentic self, you believe in you.  Others will sense the authenticity in you. When you show your true colors, people can see the real you.  You show others how you respect and honor yourself, and others will do the same. When you are a chameleon, always blending in, people will sense it’s not really you, and these relationships are never very deep or fulfilling.  I have been the chameleon and I have been around them.  You will know that feeling and perhaps already recognize it in yourself or another. You can’t change someone else…but you can change you to shed the layers which do not fit you anymore or perhaps never did.  You can transform yourself into the authentic version of you. Use the information, feelings and beliefs from past relationships where you tried to fit in as it helps you understand yourself better.  You can ask yourself questions such as  “Do I still like this?”;  “Do I still believe in this?”;  “Does this resonate with me?”  Doing this exercise will help you discover your true inner you, your true beliefs, your true personality and your true colors. And, once you know YOU, it can lead you to a better understanding of your life’s true purpose…fulfilling you, bringing out your joy & finding other true individuals.   It did me.

Namaste!  Espavo!
