Through challenging and beautiful life lessons, I’ve grown, healed and discovered my true life’s purpose, which is to help others heal themselves, guiding them to find their true life purpose. As my journey of healing and transformation continues, I have been guided to share through the written word on my Facebook page and blog site, teach yoga, become a Reiki Master and intuitive guide. I also enjoy doing Tarot Card readings for clients. I AM an intuitive lightworker, and my former lives as many different types of healers along with many types of spiritual entities bring knowledge and wisdom to me, assisting in my gifts.

Imagine my surprise when I connected the dots in my life. Our souls choose our life, and give us signs, signals and messages to help our human mind “re-remember” why we are here. From our birth chart to numerology, our names, dreams and synchronicities, we are being guided by our own unique soul to learn, transform and awaken to our true authentic soul path.

I believe we have both destiny and fate, which I wrote about in another blog, however, I believe fate delivers us the message, relationships and situations for our life lessons. Destiny is our power to choose how to act and react to all fate delivers. We have been provided profound messages if we only take the time to listen, discover and understand them.

Take my life for instance. I find being named Heather one of my profound messages, along with my birth chart, my personal numerology, symbols, messages and dreams. The messages have always been there, but it took Divine Order and Timing to get there. From learning yoga to becoming a Reiki Master to more fully understand my psychic gifts so I can work with them to help myself and assist others.

Did you know “heather” is a small flowering plant, which spreads across hilly and rocky plains? It thrives mainly in Scotland, where my father is from, but also other areas in the world.  They are plants with white, pink, magenta & purple flowers. Filling the terrain with beauty, color and life.

The two main colors of the Heather plant are purple and white, and my nana (paternal grandmother) once told me white was more rare in Scotland. I remember at one point in her life, she owned an antique shop with two friends they called “The White Heather”, just for this reason. The flowers, in general, are symbolic of independence and good fortune, with purple heather meaning beauty or admiration of another person and white heather meaning protection and good luck.  To me, the heather plant has always symbolized love as well, as it was so closely related to my nana. And, isn’t admiration a form of love? And, here I am, spreading my life wisdom to others, helping those who wish to help themselves heal and transform to find their true life path.

I do believe we are all “rare”, or unique, while being part of One Universal Divine Light. The general meaning of white in spirituality is pure Divine Light.  We are ALL Divine Light and to connect to this Divine Light in our Divine Core is a very loving feeling, allowing us to connect to each other, weaving our lives, while walking our special soul paths. The general meaning of purple in spirituality refers to the Divine connection through our crown chakra, where the crown chakra has been represented as purple.  I have worked diligently over the years to connect to my crown chakra, and now my Divine core, where I find my intuition guiding me along with symbols, relationships and opportunities, using my unique spiritual gifts in many different ways.

Another interesting aspect of our lives is our birth chart, which can provide a road map for us, letting us know many things. (I have a wonderful Astrologer to recommend if you are interested, to find your personal road map.) I’m a Capricorn sun, which is significant to me, especially when you consider my first name.  Capricorn is symbolized by the mountain goat. The mountain goat lives in rocky, hilly, mountainous areas, essentially being built for climbing on very challenging terrain, maintaining balance on the often uneven surfaces. The mountain goat is symbolic of being able to withstand the rocky times with ease, balance and harmony. While all situations aren’t always “easy”, they do provide situations to return to harmony with balance and ease.  And, a friend of mine told me once to ask for situations to be “easy and effortless”, just as the mountain goat traverses it’s home, and similar ground on which the heather plant thrives! In traditional astrology, this mountain goat has a fish tail.  The fish tail symbolizes water to me, and being able to flow with the ebbs and wanes of the tides.  In other words, being able to navigate the ups & downs and ebbs & flows of the energies of life, determining what we are here to teach and what we are here to learn so we can gain wisdom for transformation, healing and enlightenment to vibrate at a higher frequency each and every time. The energy of the name Heather and the energy of Capricorn has brought me quite a lot of assistance on my life’s journey, working towards ease and effortlessness, flowing with life and moving into higher planes of existence.

It is not only Capricorn, but other areas of my birth chart which have provided assistance to understanding my life, the challenges I face, and the way I need to navigate them. I am a Leo rising. Leo is about courage, strength, leadership, authenticity and being in the spotlight…the “Spot-LIGHT”!  Leo is about shining your authentic self to the world, which I have worked on for most of my life, and have only started really touting loudly my authentic metaphysical self within the past 5-7 years. I have awakened and embraced my unique, “rare” self, just as you can!

I have worked with totems and animal symbology as well, and about 10-12 years ago, someone gave me a small stuffed owl. She said it was because she admired my wisdom.  The owl has a lot of symbology around it, including wisdom. The owl also symbolizes seeing at great heights, like intuition. It symbolizes being able to see in the dark, or being able to see the dark side, meaning being able to see through people’s false pretenses or lies, or in the way of a energy worker, being able to see and assist clients to see and determine root issues of any ailments or issues they are dealing with, or I am dealing with. The owl recently came to me in a dream.  It was a small baby owl that kept flying towards me to get my attention.  Owl was reminding me of my mission, while what I need to work with to transform, as the surrounding dream gave me the message I needed with the owl. And, looking back, that gift of the stuffed owl was significant, as that was the beginning of me starting to reveal my authentic self, and the wisdom I have gained and already knew through my past lives and connection to the Divine and my intuition.  I have worked with my totems, medicine and messenger animals, and continue to do so, as my life continues to progress. These messages are available to you, if you are open to them, and willing to work with them.

Numerology is another important factor in my life. I am a life path 7.  The basic meaning of 7 is gaining knowledge and wisdom! A 7 is a thinker, and I do love to think. A 7 is also analytical, as is Capricorn, but also intuitive.  Imagine my surprise when I connected these messages while looking back on my life. I was always very intuitive, I just didn’t know it, as I believed my thoughts were, well, just “thoughts”.  My strongest psychic gift has been “clear knowing” or claircognizance. I have developed and worked with the others types, however, this is my strongest one. Life path 7’s also have a natural inclination towards spirituality.  This can mean different things to different people, but to me it is working to gain wisdom of all aspects of the metaphysical worlds, understanding the intricacies and interwoven facets of Life. A life path 7 can be insecure (as a child I was when others didn’t “believe” my “thoughts”), a loner or aloof. These are presumed characteristics.  To me, these mean I am okay being alone, (however I also enjoy time with close friends and family), and my aloofness is more about non-attachment to drama and issues that are not mine.  I still care deeply, but I have learned not to attach to others problems, as accepting others problems as our own is not compassion, it is drama, and creates havoc in our lives.

Everything I have learned along with my psychic gifts is how I help others awaken and “Become Soulfully Empowered™”. Thus, this is how I choose to spread the energy of my authentic soul, like fields of heather, which is my own personal Fields of Heather.
