I honestly do not listen to this type of music, but in the background the other day, I had on the People’s Choice Awards, which I also typically do not watch. One Republic caught my attention with this song, however. This song struck me as so profound. It’s about hope in the future, removing greed, releasing the impact this life has on us, and wanting a new one of true freedom in love. I found these lyrics that night simply to read them over again several times.
Are you counting stars?
Such impact from words from a younger generation. I believe more and more folks are working towards a better One Love World. And, this is another very promising sign. When you find yourself following the masses, step aside and think “Is this what I really want?” Am I purchasing this item because the advertisement told me I’d be better loved because of it? Do I really believe I have to be one of the crowd, and fade into the background? Or do I want to take a stand and discover how truly unique and beautiful I am? And to share my unique gifts with the world? Do you believe there is such negativity in the world simply because the news programs talk more about it than other stories? Do you want to be a part of all the drama? Or do you believe there is more good in the world? Do you believe there is hope for the future? Are you willing to bring that future to your world and then share it with the world around you? Do you want true freedom in Love?
May you hope about what could be and take action to make it happen.

It is so interesting how messages make their way in the universe. I have heard this song so many times recently – I have a child who listens to Disney Radio in the car – and each time, it resonates with my soul. I have been meaning to post something about it so thank you for bringing attention to this beautiful and soulful song.
