Be Fully Alive

Slide1

Viewing each day as a day to be fully alive in the moment you have allows you to experience every moment to truly Be.

The new moon today is a black moon, so named because it’s the second one in March.  And, it’s in Aries, which is the beginning of the astrological year. A new beginning.  A new day, a new moon and a new year.  For the second time this year, as the first was in January with the calendar new year.

So, today, let’s use this day to begin seeing every day as a new beginning to fully be alive.

If you choose to rest, be fully alive in resting.  If you choose to dance, be fully alive in dancing. If you choose to go for a walk, be fully alive in your walk.  Be fully alive in every experience to get the most out of your life.

How do we be fully alive?  To be fully alive, dive into your experience with gusto.  Be in the moment in mindfulness, being completely conscious of every feeling you have…each touch of a leaf or the wind, each sound you hear, each sight you see, each feeling which arises and each taste you may have.  Contemplate all these senses, and sit with (or walk with or lay with) how that makes you feel.  Then be aware of that energy radiating within you and imagine that energy radiating outward.  I love to do this with trees.  There is such a loving energy in trees.  Walk up to a tree, and touch it’s bark, the leaves and perhaps the roots.  Imagine loving energy pouring from your heart center to the tree.  Then be quiet, contemplate the love, and you will feel the love coming back from the tree.  Practice this with trees, flowers, animals, insects.  The more you practice this, the more mindful and conscious of all things you will be. This is using our senses to be fully alive.

When you have become accustomed to the basic senses and the feelings of this aliveness in you and around you, you can then begin to bring your intuitive senses into the mix. Start paying attention to the sounds and rhythms you feel or hear which aren’t noticeable from the main physical senses. Are you able to hear the music of nature and the universe?  What is it telling you?  Are you maybe able to see a bright light or shadow where there isn’t one seen with the naked eye? Are you sensing someone thinking of you only to run into them or receive a call from them? These are your intuitive senses become stronger, like the physical ones. You are becoming even more fully alive. You become aware of all the love & light around you and are able to send it out and feel it come back to you. Sending love & light to all, all will send love & light to you.  This is being fully alive. Every day…

Every day is a new beginning;

a time to learn and grown;

a day to discover and explore;

a day to laugh and dance;

a time to be quiet and listen;

a day to send out love & light;

a day to be fully alive.

Masterfully Create Your Life

You are a Master Creator of your life. You can masterfully create the dream life you have always wanted. Thoughts and actions create our lives. The thoughts you have had in the past have brought you to where you are now. If you wish to be somewhere else, or be healthier or create a new career, begin by thinking different thoughts. You create through your thoughts and you are responsible for those thoughts. It is necessary to have repetitive thoughts of what you wish to create.  It takes practice, remembering each day to change negative thoughts into positive ones. It’s okay to feel the hurt, anger, frustration and so forth to get it all out…but then feel grateful for the experience, and discover why you felt that way…that’s how to change it from negative to positive.Slide1

Focus on positive repetitive thoughts and actions to masterfully create your dream life.

When we work towards our dreams we need to keep focusing our thoughts on what our dream looks like to us.  Where are we?  What are we doing? Who is with us?  How many others are with us?  What are we feeling? What do we look like? What does our space look like? What colors are there?   How many plants are there? Imagine all of these things and keep that picture in your head.  Some people find it helpful to look for images that resemble their dreams, print them and/or post them…aka, a dream board.  All of these actions are helping manifest your dreams.  I imagine myself in a home of my desires near water, flowers & trees, with a garden of herbs and vegetables. It has a calming space for my Reiki Healing & Intuitive Healing Guidance work and another glassed in space for my yoga classes.  I imagine which plants, candles, stones, colors, smells and more. I think of this space often and take the time for an action surrounding this dream of mine each day.  I focus on the thoughts, and the actions.

Doing one small thing each and every day will help to manifest your dreams. It starts with the thoughts, and moves forward with the actions. If you want to be healthier, start with statements that bring health to your present mind set such as “I am healthy.  I am strong.  I am well-balanced.”  Make them positive statements, not negative.  If there is a negative word in a statement, it’s not nearly as powerful at creating what you truly want.  For instance, stating “I do not eat foods which are bad for me.” Is a negative statement.  Even though your intentions are not to eat those types of foods, the better statement is “I eat foods which are good for me.” Then begin the actions. It’s okay to start small.  Start by eliminating one thing you know isn’t what you want to eat any longer.  Perhaps it’s a can of soda.  Perhaps it’s potato chips. Choose one thing to eliminate. Replace it with something good for you such as herbal tea or celery.  Each day you can drink tea or eat celery.  That is doing one small thing a day. Once you are doing this repetitively along with your positive thoughts, eliminate something else, and add something else. Before long, you will be living the healthy now you created when you began your new thoughts.  If you need help in creating your dream life and crafting these statements, I’m available for Intuitive Healing Guidance, just message me on my Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/NamasteRays.Sunshine

Everything takes practice and we may slip once in awhile, but remember you are human and things do tend to trip us up.  The point is not to let it keep us down.  Keep working towards what you want with your thoughts & actions!  It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you are now.  What matters is once you change your thoughts and put them into actions, you will be as old as you are now and where you are now. Your new now. The now you can create.  Use the energy of your thoughts & actions to create the life you truly want.

May you Masterfully Create your Dream Life!

Awakening through other senses

Slide1

Awakening to your true authentic self requires more than simply using the five senses of sight with the eyes, listening with the ears, feeling with the skin, smelling with the nose or tasting with the tongue.  These basic senses help us learn about our immediate environment as we grow up from babies into adults, but we need more to fully awaken to our true inner selves.

To fully awaken discover & use more than your five senses.

However, using other senses which we all have access to, will help you gain wisdom and thus work towards your own awakening.  This involves healing ourselves either by ourself, or with others who can help us unlock what we need to heal and unlock our other senses.  Some may call these other senses intuition or clair abilities.  Accessing these is learning how to see or listen with your heart, or hear in your mind or touch with your energy.  Any of these may be something you have experienced before. For instance, “knowing” someone is about to call you right before your phone rings.  You felt their energy…their thought energy…before you heard the phone ring.  Or perhaps you heard the phone ring and looked and it hadn’t, but then a moment later it rings.  Another example is knowing how someone feels by feeling it with your heart.  Maybe you were gazing somewhere and could have sworn you saw a sign, but when you looked again it wasn’t there, but you know you saw it and you did.  You saw it with your mind, not necessarily your eyes.

When you have these types of experiences, you can contemplate them further.  You can strengthen them by being open to these types of experiences. Being open to them means being mindful of the occurrences.  Noting them or discussing them with someone else can be very helpful, too.  The more open and mindful you are to these occurrences, the more they will be more conscious to you. Then, you can use them to think upon what they mean to you. Like using others as a mirror to healing (see my last post), we can use these other senses to heal ourselves.  It is through this healing that we awaken to our true inner Divine Light Self, our higher self.  Many times it’s our higher self that is giving us these messages to help ourselves heal and awaken.  Sometimes it’s our Spirit Guide or Animal Totem or Guardian Angel or another.  But, it’s all for our own growth and healing.

When I learned Reiki, my other senses became stronger and I became much more aware of them.  I know I grew up with intuition, yet I didn’t realize many of my thoughts were actually my other senses.  Many have told me, “You are so intuitive and have been your entire life. It is natural for you to be that way. You are so in tune with these senses, you never even realized you were and always have used them.  You figured everyone thought that way.”  Amazingly enough, my entire life I was also told how calming I am; that I’m so helpful and knowledgeable that I should be a therapist or psychiatrist.  I was intrigued with therapy & psychiatry, but frankly didn’t want to be “on call” 24 hours a day. I like “me time”.  But, as I realized recently, people still find me who want help in some manner.  I did yoga because it made me feel good, and I teach it because I like to help others.  I did the Reiki because it was going to help me and others.  I’ve done lots of work to heal myself, and I use other healers as well.  Layers come off, and so you then have something else to work on.  But, what my revaluation was…is that I’m doing exactly what my higher self wanted me to do all along.  Help others heal. And, so, between yoga, Reiki & my life coaching, here I am!  Using my other senses to help myself and others. So, if you would like help in accessing your other senses and to either continue or begin your healing journey, I’d love to help you.  Send me a message on my Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/NamasteRaysNews

It’s also important to note, awakening is a process. You will awaken one part of yourself, to discover another. You will heal one part, to discover another part which needs to be healed, and so forth. Be patient with yourself. And remember, you are here to learn & grow…and the more you do, the more you awaken!

May you discover your other senses and use them to heal and awaken!

Relationship Mirrors

Slide1
What do you see when you look in a mirror?  What do others see?  Most importantly, what do you see in others which reflects you?  As infants grow, they imitate the parents, older siblings and others in their life.  And most of us find this incredibly interesting and fun. Yet, when that same child imitates a negative aspect we may have exposed to them, it’s not so fun anymore. We are teaching the child to mirror us, so when they are learning, they are depicting what they see in others.  We then see the child form it’s own actions, and then learning to speak begins.  They also use words we use with them.  And, then as they mature, they find their own words.  This pattern repeats until we seemingly know ourselves. But, do we?  Have we discovered our true self?  We have also learned to hide traits which aren’t part of the mainstream, or are different than our “tribe”, our family, our friends.  But to truly find our highest, true self, it’s important to keep learning and growing.
Using our relationships as mirrors to our souls helps uncover and reveal our true self.
First we must detach from how a trait in someone makes us feel and just observe. Detaching because we will see things which aren’t “fun”. Like a baby imitating others, just find the imitation, whatever it happens to be.  Detaching and observing, leaves us open to closely and carefully examine the aspect we’ve seen and mirrored. Without attaching any labels to it (i.e., like, dislike), we now understand something new about ourselves, or something we hadn’t before wished to see.  We have uncovered and revealed a trait to ourselves. This is the learning process. By then accepting this trait, we can either strengthen it, or change it.  This is the growing process. How do we change a trait?  Many different ways exist, but it’s a mindset.  It’s about being very aware about each and every thought you have and thinking about them.  Analyzing them. Understanding them. And, then changing the thought.  With practice, you notice you are having “that thought” and you change it, after awhile, you will find you have changed the thought…thus the trait. You have uncovered a part of your true self, changed it and now can reveal it to others.  Continually looking into another as a reflection of you with detachment and openness allows you to uncover your truths one by one, learning and growing into your true self. Your highest self. Your best self. Your authentic self.  Your true shining reflection of your inner soul.  Noting you are also a mirror for others, your actions are helping others to see something in you that is in themselves.  Their true self.
May your mirror others to find your true reflection and shine!

Love Makes the Ride Worthwhile

Happy Valentine’s Day, Namaste Rays News Readers!

“Love isn’t what makes the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.” – Franklin P. JonesSlide1

To have Love in your Heart, means to have Love in your World. Having Love in our lives is not having another person to love you. Having Love in your life is about Divine Love within you, which you allow to flow outwards. Having Love is a state of being. Having Love is how you treat yourself and others with Kindness and Compassion. Having Love is showing Love to others, and not simply saying how you feel. Having Love is knowing that no matter what happens to you, or what someone says to you, you are Love. You are not simply Loved. YOU ARE LOVE. When you accept You are Love, you are able to feel Love all the time. Love from within, Love within others, Love in Nature. Love spirals within you and surrounds you. When you think, feel and act from the Love within you, you are able to more thoroughly enjoy each and every aspect of your life. You become Love. You let your Love Be. You find Joy in the smallest of things. You find Hope where it may not have existed before for you. You have Faith you are Who you are meant to be and Where you are meant to be. When you recognize You are Love, more Love is attracted to you. And, when Love is all around, Life certainly is more worthwhile. Enjoy the ride!

May you allow your Love to Be.

Power through Choices

Do you often find yourself saying “I don’t have the time to do what I truly want to do?”  If you don’t have enough “time”, then what are you doing with the time you have?  Enough time exists for you to do exactly as you choose to do.  You make the choices.  You are in charge of your life, thus the way you spend your time.

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you are the pilot. ~ Michael Altshuler

I found myself just yesterday telling a friend “I don’t have the time I used to have to do what I really want to do.”  After discussing it, she revealed she had said and done the same thing. She evaluated what she was doing with the 15 or 30 minute intervals she had, which wasn’t much. She would wait until she had enough “time” to do something, versus using those smaller intervals to do part of the larger project.  This struck a chord with me…loudly. I have done the same thing my entire life. I wait until I have “enough time” to do what I want.  If I feel it will take about an hour, I wait until I have an entire hour.  Instead, I could have accomplished it much sooner by using the 15 minute intervals I find myself doing things like checking Facebook or playing games on the phone, both of wish I also enjoy, but I was making the excuse that I didn’t have time.  Of course I have the time! I was making a choice.  Even for leisure activities.  I love to read .  I haven’t really made the time to read.  What else was I doing?  I was watching tv!  Well, turn off the tv and read! I did just that yesterday.  I was watching the Olympics in the middle of the afternoon. I turned off the tv and finished a book I’ve been reading for months!  I wasn’t reading it 15 minutes here or 15 minutes there, but waiting until I had sufficient time to read.

Slide1

Making choices is the power you have to control your time…and thus your life.

We all have plenty of time to do as we wish each and every day.  It’s about choices. Those choices are how we guide our life. What choices do you have right now? What choices have you made in the past and what choices do you wish to make instead? Which choices are the ones which will help you on your personal journey?  Whether those choices are reading for pleasure, playing a game, talking to a friend, exercising, working on your own business or any myriad of things, make the best choice for you at that time and FOR that time.   The opportunities present themselves to you, in time.  Be open to the possibilities…the choices you have, and control your life!

May you allow the choices you make to mold your time & life!

Growth through curiosity

Curiosity didn’t kill the cat. Curiosity creates an opening for more knowledge.  More knowledge leads to more wisdom. What does “kill the cat”?  Closed mindedness. This is what “kills the cat.”  The cat, our soul.  Not being inquisitive kills our soul.

Curiosity is the tool towards openness, growth and transformation.

Slide1

Our souls strive to learn more and connect with new lessons. New lessons for our soul’s growth & transformation.  Curiosity is an extremely admirable trait. I highly admire my 10-year old niece. Not only do I admire her, at 47 years on this earth, I strive to be more like her. More inquisitive. She is truly one of the most inquisitive soul’s I’ve ever met. Definitely an old soul, yet, she is continually and constantly asking questions. She can “act her age”, however, she really never pretends to know something if she doesn’t know it. She uses the tool of questioning to learn more and to understand. While her younger siblings are off playing, she is listening to the adults, asking questions, participating in the conversation and becoming more intelligent.  She is truly growing not only physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It’s quite a sight.  (Yes, I’m quite the proud Auntie/God-Mama!)  She has been doing this since she learned to talk.  Many children grow out of this stage, and as adults, many of us forget what it felt like to crave knowledge. We think we know everything.  Do you?  Do you truly know everything?  When did you stop asking questions? Why did you stop asking questions?  Are you afraid someone may think you un-intelligent? Or perhaps “ignorant”?

There is nothing wrong with being ignorant. Ignorant means you simply do not know. You didn’t learn something. That’s all. The “negative connotation” associated with this word in today’s society needs to be removed from your mind.  Removing the attachment to the negativity of a word, such as “ignorant”, “un-educated”, or “un-informed”, creates an open mind.  With an open mind, you can become curious and ask questions. By being inquisitive, you will learn more and thus, grow. You will no longer be suffocating the soul…you will be feeding your soul.  And, this will lead you to learn more about your true spiritual purpose.

May you feed your soul with curiosity!

Better Yourself

Competition.  Why do we compete?  What is it that creates this need to be better than anyone else? To be the “winner”?  To be the “best”? What are you attempting to gain?  What are you attempting to hide? What are you trying to feel?

Our society feeds on competition.  This need to be better than anyone else.  To be the top dog.  The best athlete. The winning team. The better nation. And, we pay people who buy into the competition need. The best pitcher tends to get the most money on the best team.  The teams fight over who gets the best player.  The Valedictorian. The best employee. How does it make us feel when we are not better than someone else? Do you feel neglected? Unimportant? Fearful no one will like you? Anxious? Stressed? Upset? What is the driving need to be better than anyone else? Or someone else?

Slide1

“The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday.” – Unknown

When we continue to buy into competition, we are fueling drama. We are fueling dueling. We are fueling our egos. We are judging and comparing. If we take that same energy and discover what we can do better today in our own being, we then can create inner joy & love of ourselves.  This inner joy & love then radiates outwards. We then become a magnet for more abundance in our lives. More love & joy.  We are working towards being our best self. And, when we are working at ourselves, drama stops. Fighting stops. We no longer are feeding our egos, but we are feeding our souls. This brilliant energy of Love & Light transcends and helps us ascend towards the heaven on earth we can share with others. You are not competing with yourself, you are bettering yourself. You are not fighting with who you were yesterday, you are accepting who you were yesterday, and realizing you are able to change that person for the better.

Like the Fire Dragon, let out your inner fires to burn brightly and rise above all that is not who you truly are at heart.

By fueling our inner souls, we become better than who we were yesterday. Our hopes and dreams begin to manifest. Our wishes start to come true. The love we crave is found within. The happiness we’ve wanted is ours for the taking. It’s all within us. It’s not outside of us by competing with others. It’s encouraging others. It’s helping others. It’s showing others it’s more important to cultivate a more balanced and centered self.  It’s helping lead the way to a more balanced and centered society. It’s being the example of true Love & Light. It’s becoming One with the entire self, the higher self, the best self.  It’s reveling and celebrating the wonderful, unique, talented and gifted person you already are within you. You are simply changing from one way to another way and letting the higher self burn brightly.

May you use your energy to better yourself.

Always include fun time

I saw this photo on my friend’s Facebook page a few weeks ago.  I saved it and, today found it again.  When I first saw it, it made me smile as I thought “this horse is really enjoying the snow!”  The horse was having fun.  Life doesn’t have to be so serious. To make the most out of life, make more room for fun!

Always include fun time in life no matter the weather.

Slide1

The weather of life is chaos. There will always be chaos in life.  It’s is part of the balance in life. It’s a learning lesson.  To continue to be serious in all situations only harms you. You become unbalanced.  And being imbalanced creates stress, dis-ease & illness. Balancing our lives with more fun and laughter is truly a tonic to wellness. Making time for fun, doesn’t necessarily mean we must create fun time.  It means finding the fun in all situations. Grumbling about our situations, the weather, road conditions, work or others in our lives is a way to expend our energy. Why not expend our energies looking at the fun side of things and acting on them?

Snow days!  Remember how fun it was when it snowed when we were children?  Or being at the beach, and it rains as children?  What do children do?  They play in the snow and dance in the rain!  Why?  Because it’s fun!  They are taking the situation and making it fun. As adults, we need to rediscover this creative aspect to our lives. Is the rain really causing chaos to our “perfect” beach day?  No, this is your judgment of what you want to happen, versus going with the flow.  You are at the beach…there is water at the shore. A little more water falling from the sky shouldn’t ruin the day.  Dance in it. Swim in the ocean. Bundle up and go sledding, skiing, make a snowman or snow angel. Remember how fun this was?

When we can see the fun in all situations, we enjoy all situations and are happier. Happier is a state we all wish to be in.  So, why not make the choice to do so? Balance out the chaos & seriousness with fun. Find the happy medium between too much serious situations and fun ones. In this way, you will lead a happier life. You will live in a state of happiness.

May you make time for fun each and every day.

Namaste!

“Counting Stars” By One Republic

Slide1I honestly do not listen to this type of music, but in the background the other day, I had on the People’s Choice Awards, which I also typically do not watch.  One Republic caught my attention with this song, however.   This song struck me as so profound.  It’s about hope in the future, removing greed, releasing the impact this life has on us, and wanting a new one of true freedom in love.  I found these lyrics that night simply to read them over again several times.

Are you counting stars?

Such impact from words from a younger generation. I believe more and more folks are working towards a better One Love World. And, this is another very promising sign. When you find yourself following the masses, step aside and think “Is this what I really want?”  Am I purchasing this item because the advertisement told me I’d be better loved because of it?  Do I really believe I have to be one of the crowd, and fade into the background?  Or do I want to take a stand and discover how truly unique and beautiful I am?  And to share my unique gifts with the world? Do you believe there is such negativity in the world simply because the news programs talk more about it than other stories? Do you want to be a part of all the drama?  Or do you believe there is more good in the world?  Do you believe there is hope for the future? Are you willing to bring that future to your world and then share it with the world around you? Do you want true freedom in Love?

May you hope about what could be and take action to make it happen.

Namaste!

“Counting Stars”

[Chorus]
Lately I been, I been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be counting stars
Yeah, we’ll be counting stars[Verse 1]
I see this life
Like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
In my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and ye shall findOld, but I’m not that old
Young, but I’m not that bold
And I don’t think the world is sold
I’m just doing what we’re toldI feel something so right
By doing the wrong thing
And I feel something so wrong
By doing the right thing
I couldn’t lie, couldn’t lie, couldn’t lie
Everything that kills me makes me feel alive

[Chorus]
Lately I been, I been losing sleep (hey!)
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard (hey!)
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be counting stars
Lately I been, I been losing sleep (hey!)
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard (hey!)
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be, we’ll be counting stars

[Verse 2]
I feel the love
And I feel it burn
Down this river every turn
Hope is our four letter word
Make that money
Watch it burn

Old, but I’m not that old
Young, but I’m not that bold
And I don’t think the world is sold
I’m just doing what we’re told

And I feel something so wrong
By doing the right thing
I couldn’t lie, couldn’t lie, couldn’t lie
Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly

[Chorus]
Lately I been, I been losing sleep (hey!)
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be counting stars
Lately I been, I been losing sleep (hey!)
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard (hey!)
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be, we’ll be counting stars

Oh, oh, oh.

[Bridge 4x:]
Take that money
Watch it burn
Sing in the river
The lessons I learned

Everything that kills me makes me feel alive

[Chorus]
Lately I been, I been losing sleep (hey!)
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard (hey!)
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be counting stars
Lately I been, I been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I been, I been prayin’ hard
Said no more counting dollars
We’ll be, we’ll be counting stars

[Outro 4x:]
Take that money
Watch it burn
Sing in the river
The lessons I learned
